Thor was first in, seated at the table, and he knew there were a lot of issues that needed to be raised, and not just the general level of madness in the household needing to be rather toned down. They knew that wild parties on the roof, pillow fights in the lounge, inappropriate comments and actions towards team mates, and general arguing was bound to happen with such a diverse group of people.
Once everyone was settled in, Thor looked amongst them, the four "Avengers". It was a sorry group if ever there was one, but they had initiative and drive, they just needed to band together and stop fighting amongst themselves.]
