What: The Doctor makes up for missing Valentine's Day. Or at least, he tries to.
Where: Around the city.
When: About a week after Valentine's Day. (This is terribly backdated haha.)
Rating: PG/PG-13 most likely
The Doctor had thought long and hard about what to do for his apology date with River. This had mostly consisted of talking to other people and asking what they liked to do on a date, but he'd gotten so many different answers that he'd had to scrap most of the data. Why humans had such complicated methods of courting, he would probably never know, even after all this time. He'd promised a surprise romantic date, however, and he was going to get this right even if it killed him.
That had seemed extremely likely at one point, but he'd finally gotten everything planned out and ready to go. He'd settled for "cheesy romantic" as the final theme, going as strictly by the book as he could manage to figure out. Which was why he was standing outside River's room at the precise time he'd told her to meet him, holding flowers in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other. Knocking on the door is slightly awkward but he manages it, then steps back nervously to wait.
