I was in desperate need to read something before I went to bed. I'm so grateful it's you.

No lines being pulled on this one because I'm curled up in bed reading this on a LJ app that of course Apple has an app for because what don't they have an app for? But I do want to say a few things and as always I will be wordy.

1) I truly believe it's impossible you could write something bad. I get writer's block, Lord knows I'm suffering hardcore but whether you have it or not it doesn't show. In the least. And I'll say it again that somehow you manage to write a million and one sex scenes and they're all different and all hot and all amazing and it's a skill I am envious of. Because when I find myself writing it it's all technical and bullshit and you just make it right. (It's incredibly weird to me to compliment people on sex scenes. It's basically saying you must be a hellcat in bed. No seriously. What the hell am I writing?)

2) I loved that scene with Alexis. That he asks her to help him figure it out and that she willingly does it, that ( ... )

Oh wow, thank you. That dialogue comment? Seriously, made my night. I write in a way that's often dialogue heavy and I'm quite self-conscious about it sometimes, but I'm glad you think it flows like it should.

Also, thank you thank you thank you I am so glad Castle isn't pathetic. I think he feels a little pathetic actually, so truly glad I managed to portray that with some kind of even hand.

I'm so glad. Honestly, all I've read this week has been scripts so my brain is in that pattern of dialogue and I almost forgot that yours wasn't one. It was that paced and fast and just perfect.

Castle's sexy. Pathetic isn't sexy. The end.

(Also, like a nerd I added you on Twitter this morning. I lose control when I sit in front of a computer all day. You don't have to add back, just wanted to say I'm not totally random.

I'm sick and hardly slept at all last night so this post is going to be short, I don't think I'd do the story justice otherwise.

First off, this didn't feel forced to me at all. You captured the mood just right, I think. It was a little sad and melancholic, with touches of heat and even humor.

So I'm glad you continued this, and hope you will continue further.

That is something that struck me as I watched the episode (and then re-watched it, over and over again) - that the tone was so different from the other, more action-packed 'myth arc' episodes. It was a little bit sad, even in canon. Anyway, glad that mood worked.

After reading this it's going to be difficult to actually go do anything functional today. It was THAT good.
You DO have a way with dialogue and it makes me crazy, it's so good.

I'm not at ALL ashamed to admit that I'm excited for the fact that it's only part 3 of ?. Meaning who knows, there could be a million little parts to come.

Seriously. SOOOO good. :)

The vague plan is to keep writing around canon like in this one, but I don't know how well I'll go after my real life commitments explode when uni goes back (ugh dreading it). But stay tuned!

You do realize that you just managed to produce a phone sex scene that was not only hotter than hell, but actually meaningful. I didn't know that was possible, since I'm pretty sure phone sex and meaningful have never been used in the same sentence before.

Anyway, I love this and I think it helps the episode quite a bit. Especially since the way they presented the whole get the mayor and lose Castle bit was pretty useless. I mean really, if he got banned from the precinct she'd never see him again? I think not. At least your presentation made that dilemma have secondary meanings and didn't require that I suspend my disbelief, which, while I am happy to do that for case detail, I prefer not to have to exercise for relationship points. Not that I don't have to do it on a regular basis anyway, since who the heck are these pod people that they aren't fucking already. Boggles the mind.

And then there was the ending. Ha! Any mention of chess that occurs anywhere close to a mention of sex always makes me think of this. The chess scene ( ... )
