Yes! Wonderful.
I don't know how you could have doubted this (but then I do, because I love/hate my stuff, too). It's fabulous.
This overlaps a bit a comment I gave you before, but I have to say, this is probably my favorite portrayal of the Mark and Addison relationship that I've ever read. There's something, as I so eloquently put it, different. And I love it. Lots and lots.
I cannot wait for the next installment. Moreso than I want the next episode. How sick is ThAT?!
Anyway, glorious work.

and ps- thanks for the pimpage! YAY! Gratifies my sadly insecure writer's soul.

Ah, you know how you read something and you wish you had written it? That was how I felt about that fic.

And I guess I doubted it because it took so long to write. I get weird like that. Generally I write my best stuff in one sitting, short bursts... if it takes time, it's usually because I haven't found my groove. Or something like that.

Hey yay, you flatter me. My ego is THIS BIG right now. Smirk. But yeah, I don't know why it's different. They're young maybe? I'm trying to trace them through from then until now so they are going to change. I'm so analytical and serious about this fic. It's hilarious. Anyway, thank you. so. much. ♥

There are no words. But I will try. I will try to 'use my words.'

Gah, that was fabulous. I am so loving this backstory, and Addison as an obsessive-compulsive nerd is love. Such love.

I adore self-destructive, yet having layers Mark, because it's such a nice change from reality.

*sigh* Why can't Shonda be as talented as you?

I adore self-destructive, yet having layers Mark, because it's such a nice change from reality- admittedly layers are harder on TV because unless Mark and Derek become best best best friends again, there's really no one I can see him talking to about the layers aspect. Even then, is Mark a talker? I think not. Not that it's any excuse, but still, a multidimensional character is easier on the page.

Addison was an obsessive-compulsive nerd. Come on. Look at her. She had to be. We already know she has high-school issues, which I think were evident here, and we also know she has Mark issues. And possibly lust-vs-feelings issues. (Alex/Addison? Oh yeah. Love. Right there. Not.) So. Here's to exploring her issues, in second person. 0_0

This probably gets repetitive, but thank you so much. I sort of write this for you, and two other people and... myself. It's all very indulgent really. ♥

admittedly layers are harder on TV Granted, but Shonda and I still have a plethora of unresolved issues dealing with characters and their portrayals... she just doesn't know about these issues yet ( ... )

This story is genius. Like every word of it. It's so perfect. Addie's smackdown of Mark at the end was amazing, and those last few lines really wrapped this chapter up well. :)

Addison smackdowns are always the best. I swear. And I'm glad you liked it. Smiles all round from me.

I am so over Mark/Addison in general (Thanks, Shonda!), but this fic was really lovely. I was impressed with the way you integrated medical vocabulary into the fic, and I enjoyed your characterization of Mark.

I'm so glad I got a sneak peak of this. And I noticed you added a couple of things? Things that WIN, hehe.

This fic just floors me. Honestly, it's amazing, and I love how much research you put into it with all of those body parts. Nerdy Anatomy sex is hot. The backstory is great too. You write Mark so well, and all of the other characters as well, it's just that you GET Mark. And that's awesome :)

Pfft, oh yeah, just a little bit of sexing... you know, as you do. (Especially with young, horny, pre-derek Maddison. Because if they have the pointless sex now they certianly did then.)

Nerdy anatomy sex: if I ever actually understand it, this is going to be my greatest fantasy for the next seven years, I swear it. Because hi, I'm a big nerd. Plus who calls something the horny layer and expects a groupd of hormone ridden students not to start salivating? Seriously. Seriously.

Mark is me, except overall, I don't do the pointless sexing. I mean, excellent, you think I've captured the character. Yay. No seriously, there are aspects of Mark's character now that we don't see until later because I'm having trouble with them. I don't know. I feel I am making him too nice. Which was originally the point of the fic but.... I don't know. AU much?

I don't think you've made him too nice. Definitely nice though, but he probably IS a nice guy underneath those destructive and self-loathing layers. It's great though, and HI, I lovvvve this story <3

Ha, "the horny layer." Giggle.

Giggle. I'm so juvenille. Giggle.

Well, Mark is obviously a nice guy underneath it all. I mean sure, he's also probably a bit of an elitist snob ("you're too stupid for me", "you're too ugly for me", "you're just... no, don't even think about it") and I can see him being perceived as arrogant for that reason. But in general, I think he'd judge less than a lot of people and he's up front about everything. Shonda is just dumb. <3
