“Addison, I respect people. I do it in a different way to a lot of people and just because I respect someone doesn’t mean I don’t see their faults. I won’t lie about things like that and some people,” perhaps that sounded a little too pointed, “Don’t appreciate that, but that’s the way I am." SRSLY, WHY DO YOU ALWAYS WRITE MARK SO PERFECTLY? AND THERE WERE LIKE A ZILLION OTHER THINGS I WANTED TO QUOTE, BUT I DIDN'T WANT THIS TO TURN INTO A RUNNING COMMENTARY ON MY LOVE FOR THIS STORY.

I LOVED THE AWKWARD-BUT-NOT-TOO AWKWARD SCENE WITH THE THREE OF THEM, AND I LOVED WHEN MARK LIT INTO DEREK FOR BEING A CRAP HUSBAND.

I ALMOST JUMPED UP AND DOWN WHEN I SAW YOU UPDATED. GREAT WORK AS ALWAYS :)

Hahahaha. Anatomy and porn: it's like, the world's greatest and best cliche.

Mark getting into Derek was something I was a little iffy about, because I think sometimes like here it's over done. I do want to have a bit of addek backstory in this as well though, and it needed to be done. I'm getting a little worried about criminalising my Addison a little too much.

I LIKE RUNNING COMMENTARIES. GIGGLE.

And Mark? Is like me. We understand each other and we are going to walk into the sunset and have lots of babies be best friends forever.

I LOVE Mark. I liked your Addek backstory. It was done very well.

And I wish I could have Mark's babies. SO BAD. Addison missed out.

GIGGLE. I stole my father's anatomy text just for it. It's going to be nerdy. And hot. But mostly nerdy. And possibly cliche.

And platonic interaction of the trio (see icon) is the best. thing. ever. I'd even be willing to sacrifice some Maddison-y stuff to see more Mark/Derek/Addison I think.

I loved this chapter!!! I like Derek and Mark's friendship, and I thought it was a really interesting detail when you said that Addison doesn't think her actions will impact other people because she was so used to be the unnoticed one. And also the reasons for why Mark treats the interns the way he does. I just assumed he did it to be a jerk or get his chores done or whatever, but your reasoning is totally plausible too. And the math nerd in me loved the whole triangle thing and the metaphor with it in that last paragraph! And...yea, the whole chapter was great! :D

MATH NERDS UNITE. I really hated triangle geometry though. There were all those stupid rules to remember to solve angles and side lengths. SIGH. Probably the only thing from maths that I've forgotten.

ANYWAY.

Glad you liked it. I'm not sure how much I agree with Mark's analysis of Addison's character but at the same time, she needed some reason for her actions and I'm not sure it's got anything to do with Maddison at the moment because of in-canon events. Oh well. Thank you.

Mark and Derek having a civilised discussion about a butterfly museum or even global climate change would be welcome to me at this point. But I'm glad you liked it. Grin.

*waves* HI! I'm alive! Yeah... I know that I've sort of disappeared as of lately... which is due to the fact that my internet has really been hating on me to a ridiculous extent. *nods*

But... I'm still reading! Oh yes, I am. Any more of the Ella series on the way? Or the Favorite Accident Series? *bats eyelashes* You know that you want to write it.

What chance in hell is there that the writers will ever pull of something remotely approaching this level with the characters?

Yeah, I didn't think so either.

You know how much I love Derek and Mark together since Derek+Mark=BFF has to be my second favorite ship currently.

Mad props for saying pretty much everything we've been thinking in terms of the Derek/Addison/Mark triangle of confusion and also giving Addison somewhat understandable motives through the backstory (which I loved).

I do wish someone Mark would take Derek to task for Derek's upping and going across the country post-affair, and basically, if I had the power vested in me to make this chapter (and consequently the entire story) canon, I so would.

You're amazing! But then again, you already knew this.

Sometimes I feel you're among the few who picks up on some of the more subtle things I try to acheive. I've decided that primetime TV has no hope of being subtle because of this: you and I would probably be the only two people who would get it. At all.

Derek+Mark is my favourite favourite ship at the moment becuase I'm slightly mad at Addison. And fandom for loving her anyway. If everyone hated her too, I could like her. Stupid majoriy. Stupid compulsion to side with the minority. But she does get more motives from me because I'm really killing myself trying to understand her character which obviously just doesn't make sense oddly enough some part of me is dying to give addek a better backstory as well ( ... )
