Willow feels Buffy Summers is her closest friend. Ever. Closer than Xander if for the fact that over the years they grew apart. But, also, because Buffy is a girl. Yes, it's a double standard but it feels amazing to have a girl she can relate to and tell anyone to. Because, she will tell Buffy absolutely anything. She respects Buffy as well and will listen if given an order. She can't wait to reconnect and never wants to be without her Slayer BFF again. She also wants Buffy to hit her if she ever types BFF actually.

Cordelia Chase.

Ever the supporter of the "We Hate Cordelia Chase" Club, suffice it to say, Willow was not a natural fan of the brunette. When Cordelia left Sunnydale, Willow wasn't exactly hurt. Cordelia had helped where she could, she had been dip girl, bait girl, macking on incredibly geeky English watchers girl, and that had been fine with Willow.

When she found out Cordelia was helping out Angel she took bets with Xander and Oz as to how long she would last before Angel broke her neck.

Years later, and both of them have been through hell and high water. Willow has grown to respect the once vapid May Queen and after everything finds some common ground in the - oh hey, we went evil once, thing. Even Willow's visit those years prior, she wanted to connect with Cordy despite her penchant for staying in bed.

Maybe some part of Willow will always see Cordelia as that narcissistic judgmental ho, but she's starting to open up to the idea that Cordelia is a strong ally.
