Never a dull moment!

Ended up at the on-call vets yesterday with Gizmo because she'd been off her food since Friday. Now waiting on blood test results but an appetite stimulant and some special recovery food, plus roast chicken, appear to have sorted her out. *Fingers crossed* there is no underlying problem and it was just a random thing ( Read more... )

How is Giz getting on with her new food? I hope her tests come back fine.

She's on chicken at the moment, she finished the vet food yesterday morning and our vet didn't think she needed any more. I'm just hoping she'll go back on her sheba okay in a couple of days! Her blood tests were fine, the thyroid one was on the high side but still within normal range so just something to keep an eye on for now.

Nah, A&E thought he had a compound fracture but when the sports injury people looked at his x-rays, they realised his hand bones being curved from years of mountain biking had confused them. He'd actually just chipped the bone a tiny bit and the symptoms were from bashing the nerve. I think he'd entertained them anyway, apparently they don't usually see that type of injury because longsword fencing is about the only way you can do it - he was merrily announcing that he had Knight's Metatarsal when he got home!
