I think what really hurt about the whole Taura thing was that I found out about it in the context of Roic courting someone else. I know people move on and I wouldn't want Roic to mope for the rest of his days, and I'm glad Miles and Ekaterin named a daughter after her, but... wow, that was a punch to the ribcage.
Yeah, it would have been slightly less hurtful if we'd found out when baby Taurie came up, but the somewhat random musing between Miles and Roic was not exactly sensitively handled I thought :(
I know. I needed a comfort read at the end of Cryoburn as well. Although the question that popped into my mind was why he didnt have a medical monitor implanted that would do all sorts of useful stuff. Trying not to be too specific in case anybody hasn't read it :-)
I knew he wasn't going to last forever, and looking back at some of the earlier comments Miles makes, I should have realised it was coming sooner rather later, but still...
I was reminded of Sarah Connor chronicles too, but I'm rather hoping that the writers are clever enough to work that out and they are going to send us in a different direction.
I like the useless treacherous Welsh vampire lad, he's so wet. :-D I kind of feel I knew him at primary school somehow.

I hear you on SCC. Talk about cliff-hanger endings. And no, so far, no one has written a satisfactory ending to that series.

I like the new snarky vampire and Mr Weasley as a vampire. I'm unconvinced by Hal though.
