So, apparently 'Fastlane' is running on Court TV now.
Before anyone asks: No, that doesn't make any sense. No, the show has absolutely nothing to do with courts or trials or the justice system. It's just about guns and motorcycles and beautiful people in extremely tight clothing.
And I must say: it's everything I had remembered, and more. I saw it at my cousin's house, and after a couple of minutes my nephew walked in and asked what I was watching. I explained the show to him, as well as the so-bad-it's-good principle of programming, and then ventured some tentative references to the so-gay-its-good principle of...well, 'Fastlane'. I tried to give him some quick rundowns and recaps. But it turned out that I shouldn't have wasted my breath, because two minutes later, we were witness to the following scene.
Van walks into the warehouse after meeting with female mark.
Deaq: Where the hell have you been? Were you with that girl for all this time? I've been sitting here waiting for you! Worrying! Afraid that maybe you were in trouble... or lying dead somewhere! ... Don't make me worry like that, Van. I am your partner!
Um. Yeah. There was also absolutely no lead up to this at all. It's not like Van abandoned Deaq or anything; they just ended up having to go separate ways earlier that afternoon.
The hyper-protective machismo of it all is overwhelming. Van did mumble an apology for making Deaq worry. Aw. All better.
I should seriously get the DVD.
