You should totally support the OTW! The OTW is awesome! Rah rah! *pom poms* But it won't be a blogging site, at least not for the foreseeable future, so if you want something to replace LJ, you may want to look elsewhere. Stupid LJ.

Why hello thar! I like people coming in from google searches, since it's the main reason I've stubbornly kept my journal unlocked despite all the witch hunts and the 'adult content' stuff. No one should have the right to regulate the internet and curiousity.

Isn't OTW just an archive project? Much like FF.net, only without the bullshit. I'm looking into it, and I'm still on the fence.

"OTW" is the umbrella organization for the archive project (which I'm involved with), an academic journal, and potentially a few other things in the future. But yeah, it's mainly an archive. Feel free to ask questions (of me, on posts on the otw_news community, of the community relations people, etc.) if there's something you'd like to know. Or, you know, wait for us to get the archive actually up so you can see how stupendously awesome we are for yourself. ;-D

I'm so glad some people keep their journals unlocked and indexable. I love stalking people making new friends through google blogsearch, but everyone keeps trying to thwart me! Hmph! The way I figure, idiots who want to report people frivolously will find us through our interests and what communities we watch/join whether or not they can read our posts or find us through google.

I've been following the OTW drama, and I love the idea but I'm one of those people who are worried if it would actually stand to last.

I wish more people would unlock. It's so hard to find the obscure fanfiction and people who are interested in the obscure fandoms I like when everyone is behind walls. :(
