Reid blowing up, that is so like him. He gets his nose all out of joint because he told Bob-o that he himself would find an investor and now Bob went and got one behind his back. And having it be Luke no less. But, even though Reid's all pissed I think he secretly likes it. No, he luuuuuuuvs it.
The only thing that's got me confused is that last line. It's reminding me of Luke's time with the humble barista. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Why doesn't Luke want Reid to know?????

Heh, I like writing frustrated!Reid. I agree that he probably secretly loves that side of Luke, the side that keeps crossing the lines, even if he won't admit it. ;)
Luke not wanting Reid to know isn't something to worry about. All will be explained next chapter^^.
Thank you! =)

So this thing between them has calmed a little -- they're able to be in the same room now without feeling like the world is ending -- but the delicious tension is still there. Lovely. :)

They're so much fun to write like this, without the angsty cloud of doom hovering over them. ;)

But ooh, you still got me all shivery with the way they were touching and talking and looking at one another--so much electricity there!
Thanks for giving us an update!

No, thank you for still being here to read the update. It's been unusually quiet on LJ these past few weeks. :(

I loved watching Reid fall ass-backwards into love with Luke on the show and even more so in this fic. My heart clenched for a moment over the line about Reid dealing with life and death. I don’t think that was more clear for me than the moment he decided to risk everything to save Chris.
And I’m so torn up about this line… Luke wanted to let himself give in to Reid like a free fall from the highest tower, but there was still a niggling feeling of doubt which wouldn’t let go just yet. B/c it could mean so many things: Noah, the dreams, Luke’s fear of not being enough but mostly it’s all Luke wrapped up in this one line.
And even then Reid is still keeping “Luke” to himself, not wanting Bob to interfere. I get where Luke’s coming from with not wanting Reid to know, but I wonder what is going through Reid’s mind.
Long-winded and late again. Sorry, bb.

I love writing Reid falling "ass-backwards into love with Luke". So much. This story is unfolding very slowly, and as much as I'd like to speed it sometimes, I'm also enjoying sort of documenting every step Reid takes toward finally being with Luke. But they'll start taking much bigger steps in the upcoming few chapters. ;)
Aww, I love that line and I love that you said that.
All will be explained next chapter^^. Thank you so much for your comment<3.

Writing the desire they feel for each other is one of my favorite parts of this whole story, so it makes my day to "hear" you say that! =)
Thank you!
