Vacation Log - Part 6 (June 5th - 6th)

Jun 20, 2007 12:13

I had remembered stuff from things from the week, but promptly forgot them again. However, when I was writing up my Birmingham report the other day, I found a note that I had written in the back that was amusing.

Anyone at Decalogy will get this:

It's amazing at how nearly 1000 people can be highly entertained by a dancing stuffed bunny, a head ( Read more... )

I can't even begin to imagine being on a place that long. I mean I have a hard time going across the country, let alone the ocean!

Also, I always thought poems were supposed to be left open to interpretation by the readers. I mean that's part of the fun of reading them!

Worst is that on the trip back, the clock barely moves to I'm landing in the States only an hour or two after I "took off". So it's a LONG day, where as going TO Europe, I lose the 5 hours and it's a short day.

That's what I thought, but not to that teacher, hense why I can't write or read the stuff. I just can't appreciate it anymore.

Yeah, the whole baggage claim --> customs --> security AGAIN thing really sucks. Strangely enough though, we're not the only people that do it - I've had that happen to me in Tokyo (Narita) and Seoul (Incheon). I don't get it either - it's not like you've left a secured area the entire time...

The getting your baggage and re-checking it much be a recent thing, because we didn't have to do it on our way back from Egypt, but did this time coming back from Paris. What a pain in the ass! It went quickly for us, at least, and we had a long enough time between flights that we were left with time to sit down and have lunch before boarding our connecting one, but still. I was not happy.
