It's been awhile since I took the time to blog. There are plenty of things to blame it on, but I'd rather move forward.

I've decided to post a manuscript in installments that I began 18 months ago. It's an alphabet book called B is for Beans: A Legume Alphabet. Enjoy!

This book is all about Legumes,

whose seeds grow in a pod.

More than 20,000 species,

some familiar, others odd.

Some plants only seem like beans,

let’s set the record straight.

So jump right in and read ahead,

for many secrets wait.

A is for Alfalfa,

Harvested as hay.

Many cattle eat it fresh

in a pastureland buffet.
