I wouldn't be jealous that they have people to buy expensive things for them, and I wouldn't be angry that they "exploit" it to the people around them who don't have these things and have to buy things for themselves.

I'd be proud that you are able to buy things for yourself, it shows your independence and maturity that you can save for the things you want and not just wait for birthdays or christmases for other people to buy them for you.

Also, chances are people aren't posting these things to "exploit" what they got for Christmas, it's more likely that people just got excited about things and felt they had to post about their gifts.

No, i completely agree with your comment. I'm not jealous of her gift, i'm just mad that she chose to exploit it. I'm that person that doesn't have someone who buys her laptops, and so i get upset when people feel the need to exploit what expensive gifts they got. And part of me believes that she was merely excited about her gift and thats why she put it down, but with Poetry Friend, she always has a motive and tries to appear none-the-wiser. that and Poetry Friend has a love affair with the melodramatic. Hence my ruffled feathers.

I completely have nothing against Flirty Starbucks Girl. She just got married, and she's been floating on cloud nine since the week before her wedding, so i know in my heart she was just really excited about her new kitten.
