Nostalgia gets me everytime.

Twice this week i've gone shopping, found something i used to have and play with when i was a child, and had an intense urge to buy it, and buy it now. The first time, i was in Target (youcantfiremebecauseididntclaimtoworkthere) and i was randomly going down the toy aisles and i came upon some animal figurines that resemble a collection of animal ( Read more... )

I had Lincoln Logs! Oooh man, I loved those things. :) I used to create the coolest houses ever... hehe.

My sister just had a baby, so my mom has been pulling out all of our old toys from the basement and it's so great to see them all again! I'll admit, I probably have more fun with them right now than she does. All the Barbies came out, the Legos (spelling?), the blocks, the stuffed animals... oooh man, I get excited just thinking about it. I want to be a kid again!

i second that notion! i cleaned my room a few months back, and i have the hardest time cleaning up my room, because to me, cleaning up my room is like flashing my life before my eyes. I keep everything, and it drives my mom nuts. She keeps telling me to give up things, and i try (i actually gave away 10 out of 30+ stuffed toys last time, and i refused to even think about giving away stuffed toys last time i cleaned my room), but the nostalgia is overwhelming. I think thats why my room is always messy... cleaning my room is a huge ordeal. i still have six of my favorite barbie dolls, and several different types of blocks.
