I am one of those with severe JE ending denial, but this just wouldn't leave me alone. And I'm kind of in a sad mood, so the timing I guess was right. So I figured I'd just sit down, get it written and have done with it. Wasn't sure if I was going to post it, but thought I would anyhow. Fair warning, it's sad. But you probably already knew it

This is such a fitting end. If Donna can't be restored to the TARDIS then this should have happened. :(

I agree. If JE had to happen, then Donna should have died. I, however, would have encased her ashes in the TARDIS itself. But perhaps that would have been even more painful for the Doctor.

I thought about Ten keeping her ashes somewhere on the TARDIS, but then I thought she should have a more permanent place of rest. Eventually the Doctor will die, and from what I understand, when he dies, the TARDIS does as well, and fades away. A planet, while by no means permanent, is more permanent than the TARDIS. Thus she has a permanent place of rest. I also thought having her ashes on the TARDIS would cause more pain for the Doctor.
