Honestly, I've been a mix of a depressed funk over the national elections; not so much because of who is our president-elect, but by the sheer number of assholes that are now proud of their behavior and glad to rub it in our faces

I had to giggle at your frugal nature. We keep the house at 65 during the day. :) I have similar problems with discomfort, and have found holding a hot drink helps a lot. Also, men's wool socks are warm and looser on the feet.

I'm envious of other homes that are 78 and toasty, but just can't bear to look at the energy bill at the end of the month.... Good tip on wool socks! i'll have to get those.

My kids.. they run around barefoot?!? Cringe. So cold.

Cousin has ghosted me. Refuses to respond to my texts, asking him to give me updates on his life; even though before he departed, he asked to keep in touch once a week. :/
