And I return with a lesson on fluoride...

Sodium fluoride, a hazardous-waste by-product from the manufacture of aluminum, is a common ingredient in rat and cockroach poisons, anesthetics, hypnotics, psychiatric drugs, and military nerve gas.

Historically, this substance was quite expensive for the worlds premier chemical companies to dispose of, but in the 50's and 60's Alcoa and the ( Read more... )

my dentists have always encouraged me to avoid the silver, which my most recent dentist called, flat-out "mercury silver" and that he wouldn't pollute the environment by putting it in the water system. now, if this dentist is so informed, then why does he still use flouride in anything he uses?

in another vein, i grew up in Minnesota, and the water there is flouridated. i'm very fucking glad that i drank that water for half my life and didn't have a cavity until i lived in Hawaii - and got that cavity despite the fact that i still brushed my teeth twice a day and flossed regularly. my mom grew up without flouride in the water, before they introduced it, and even though she had good dental habits she still has a mouthful of metal. i think there's some truth despite the lies. and not everything is on the Periodic Table. only the base elements, which flouride obviously isn't and i've never heard it claimed to be so.

I pulled myself away from alot of distractions for a period of time. I needed to to some hardcore soul searching and find some answers I had been needing that up until this point was ok to be living without.

How is Jordon and your usual crazy life?

"Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual's power to resist domination, by slowly poisoning and narcotizing a certain area of the brain, thus making him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him."

because the Nazis had decades to test this theory out on actual humans, and it had NOTHING to do with brainwashing or fear or threat.

nope, none whatsoever.

out of curiosity, do you now filter your water and use non-fluoridated toothpaste?

I do.

Not that I believe the fluoride hype 100%. After all, we have dissolved lead, pesticides, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, etc etc in our water...how in the HECK could one possibly tell that an effect on human physiology would be the result of fluoride?

A good filter removes most of these things, however.

and really, your bottled water friend above should note that bottled water has been found to be unsafe as well--high in bacteria and other nasties.

I really miss the rain-water catchment tank of my youth, though it was lined with algae and occasionally had squirming mosquito larva. At least I knew there weren't any chemicals. None beyond the aluminum roofing, plastic gutter and plastic tarp lining of the tank, at least.

The hardest part so far has been finding a water distiller that I can afford :(

Next paycheck theres going to be some kind of distiller in my kitchen, be it mini sized or otherwise. Since then theres been little I could do, all of the water filters on the market and at the store dont remove fluoride.

What type of filter system do you use?
