Lost Until Found Playlist

Meet a crazy playlist put together by an author who is sad that she ended her first fic.

The Phrase That Pays (Intro) - The Academy Is...

My eyes can't believe what they have seen.
In the corner of your room you've stockpiled millions of my memories.
Oh Doctor, Doctor, I must have gotten this sick somehow.
I'm going to ask you a series of questions,
And I want them answered on the spot, right now.

This is the opening song because of course, William is in a mental hospital and he’s got all these memories stuck in his head while his doctor is trying to help him. Other than that it’s cool.

Remembering Sunday - All Time Low

Leaning now into the breeze
Remembering Sunday, he falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs

Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm gonna ask her to marry me

William is remembering his trip back in 2007 with Gabe and it goes from the past to him trying to find Gabe in his state of death. Ignore the feminine references. They’re faulty.

Living Proof - The Downtown Fiction

I'm living proof, broken and defeated
I'm the shattered youth and no one could believe it
If I cant have you, well darlin' I just can't go on

And if I swear, swear to make it better
Would you stick you around, I know that it will never
Be the way it was, but maybe we can make this right
Show me where the light is leading

This song expresses William’s feelings of his loss when Gabe is not around and in fact, presumed dead. It references to his suicide and how he can’t go on without Gabe. Also, it’s just a great song by a spectacular band.

Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park

I close both locks below the window.
I close both blinds and turn away.
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple.
Sometimes goodbye's the only way.

And the sun will set for you,
The sun will set for you.
And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in grey,
And the sun will set for you.

This song is to represent William coming to terms with the fact that Gabe is gone, although he doesn’t really come to terms with it. He just acknowledges that it exists and is reluctant to believe that it is not true.

Radios in Heaven - Plain White T's

Your time has already come and I don't know why
The last thing that I had heard
you were doin' just fine
It seems like just yesterday
I was laughing with you

You left before I had a chance to say goodbye
But that's the way life usually is
it just passes you by

During the time that James disappears to Chizzy’s for help, William is stuck in this mode of thinking that Gabe’s death is fact and there is no other possible way that it is not true. This really is his, ‘why did you have to leave me here?’ song.

Another Heart Calls - The All-American Rejects

Do you remember when we didn't care?
We were just two kids that took the moment when it was there,

Do you remember you at all?
Another heart calls,

I remember when we stole the night,
We lie awake but dreaming 'till the sun would wash the sky,

Just as soon as I see you,
Didn't I, didn't I tell you,
As deep as I need you,
You wanna leave it all

When I listened to the song I thought about William and Gabe, but when I read the lyrics, I found myself thinking that there’s also a spot in this song where Chizzy is seeing that they’re losing William to this world of pain and depression, possibly in the point where he and James constructed the plan? (which that might actually become a bonus chapter) The song is up to interpretation, but I found it an addicting inspiration to the last chapter.

I Love Your Existence (Acoustic) - Goot

Perfection is defined when your heart beats next to mine, and time stands still for us.
My hand in your hair, and yours on my chest. Moments with you are my lifes best.

We crossed paths for a reason
The planets aligned in that particular season
Its clear to me that well eventually be
Inseparable

I love your existence
and I cant get enough

Your song is sung in your beautiful voice
My senses rush cause they have no other choice
I breathe you in, and I see through your eyes.
You are an angel in a beautiful disguise.

This song was actually suggested to me by a very close friend three days ago, and I’ve sadly been addicted to it since then. The song really speaks to me as a way that William thinks about Gabe, but the feeling really is mutual between them. The part about the song sun in his beautiful voice spoke to me as William feeling that Gabe’s voice was his own personal brand of music.

1, 2, 3, 4 (End Credits) - The Plain White T's

1,2 - 1 2 3 4
Give me more lovin then I've ever had.
Make it all better when I'm feelin sad.
Tell me that I'm special even when I know I'm not.
Make me feel good when i hurt so bad.
Barely gettin mad,
I’m so glad I found you.
I love bein around you.
You make it easy,
As easy as 1 2, (1 2 3 4.)

There’s only one thing two do three words four you.
I love you.
(I love you)
There’s only one way two say those three words
and that's what I'll do.
I love you.
(I love you)

What better way to end a depressing fanfic with a cheesy love song? Another friend goes to blame for this song being the end, seeing as she brought it back to my attention last night as I was putting the final touches on the chapter. Oh the cheesy but amazing Gabilliam love deserves love in song form. Plus it’s cute, in a completely cheesy way.

Bonus Song:

Snakes On A Plane (Bring It!) - Cobra Starship with The Academy Is..., Gym Class Heroes and The Sounds

In case you lack the amazingness of Gabilliam song love. Have fun, and there was a song that originally was on the playlist that was cut because I wanted it to be one song per chapter basically (excluding the opening and ending songs), so it might show up in the standalone. Who knows?
