I love spring rolls, I haven't had them in a while, since I think of them as cool summer foods. But they are the yum. I pack them for lunch for supreme lunch happiness.
Then she's got you fooled! Actually, she is a sweetheart. She's just rediculously stubborn and sometimes full of attitude when she doesn't get her way!
OMG I love your dawg. For some reason I never pictured a basset. And if you blogged about it, which I'm sure you did, I missed it. BAD READER.
I want to cry big tears with your sad-eyed dawg, for I've had many-a-person tell me I have basset-hound eyes. Not as flattering as bedroom eyes, but whatever.
Awwww, such sad eyes. She's adorable and can pull off 'I'm abused come love me and give me people food' like a champ! We tend to call Milo 'Forlorn' when he does it. It's too cute. Ben and I always talk to him like he's a human and can understand. When he pulls the 'puppy face' (after we tell him no on something) we say, "Are you soooo abused and mistreated and unloved? You have a hard life don't you honey? Poor little boy." Then we get him to chase his ball or the red laser pointer or his tail. I love my boy. Life would be pretty boring with out our 4 legged kids, yeah?
Tell me about it! Ellie has this weird habit of whining when we're giving her affection. When she wants attention, she paws at us and makes urgent vocal sounds (we call it 'talking'.) When she feels left out, she plops down on her belly and rests her head on her front paws and gives us the sad puppy face (her ears usually droop across both paws and on the floor, too...it's hard to resist.) We say the exact same things as you guys. I usually say, "Oh, poor Poo-Poo (that's my nickname for her), nobody loves you!"
Milo pulls that same look. Huff wilst plopping down, front paws out front, nose resting on said paws, and he looks at you, then he looks away kinda like he's saying 'no no....don't worry about me....i'll be fine......' then he looks at you to see if you're looking. Then we look at him and say somthing and we see the slightest twitch of his tail. Damn dog is a good actor, but his tail gives him away. :)
Oh, yes! Lest we forget the loud, obnoxious sigh! When I put Ellie to bed (she sleeps in her crate in the basement), I say "Let's go nite-nite, Ellie!" She knows exactly what this means and her first reaction is to bolt in the other direction when we make eye contact. She immediately jumps up on the couch to try to "escape" her fate. I scoop her up and carry her. She becomes completely limp and refuses to acknowledge me, even when I ask for kisses. She won't utter a peep or even look at me as I walk up the stairs! She's such a snot!
I know. She's just the absolute sweetest thing ever. Never thought I could be so damn attached to a dog! I don't post about her much because I'm afraid I'll bore everyone. I guess pictures are always fun to see.
