Everything worked out!

It has been a long couple of days. We're now driving back to London from Berwick-upon-Tweed. Well, one of Rose's Torchwood friends is driving (I think he's called Greg). Rose is asleep with her head on my lap. She looks rather lovely - all calm and peaceful and with just a bit of mud on her cheek. I'm trying to type without waking her, which is ( Read more... )

rose is adorable when she's asleep, i now need more shoes, torchwood is mostly useless, aliens have landed, rose spends too much time at torchwood, saving the world, mud glorious mud, rose is brilliant, nothing exploded accidentally today

I'm so glad that no one (except the dog) was hurt. It must have been a beautiful sight, watching them leave their nest.

And next time, Listen. To. Rose. She's had much more experience as a human than you.

It was indeed beautiful, and I'm very glad that nobody got eaten.

And I know, I know! But humans always seem to need far more sets of clothes than is reasonable!

I am ashamed that I went to the stereotype and thought, "How strange is it that a man came up with the tag, 'i now need more shoes'."

Glad to hear the visitors left without we humans screaming, running about, and shooting. We have an awful habit of that.

Well, I've been thinking, since now I'm a human (half human, but people think I'm a human) and I'm expected to wear lots of different clothes, I could get lots of different coloured converse. White and black and red are all very nice, but I could get green, and yellow, and pink, and blue, and ones with interesting patterns on them!

And I definitely think that was thanks to the fact that we kept Torchwood out of the way! Rubbish that they are. Except Rose, of course.

You know you can have them made special order. I'm all for LOTS of Converse. I have black, red, white, maroon, brown with blue stitching, plaid(lowtops) and pink.

I agree that keeping Torchwood out of things kept it from going all wrong. Speaking of Torchwood, would Jack have hit on this species? It's a game I play sometimes, I call it, "Yeah, but would Jack hit it?"

Tell me honestly, have you ever answered "no" to that question?

I have to say I like this kind of alien. Excitement and mystery, but really they're all peaceful. Come to think of if, sort of like you. :D

Work called just now, and except for having to email a report in, I don't have to go in until Tuesday. Tradeoff for taking up a Saturday. So we've still got a weekend!

Your poor shoe. [snickers] You know, if I ever actually say the words "I told you so," you've got my permission to shake me and call me Jackie. I should snap right out of it.

They were rather nice. I'm even prepared to forgive the shoe eating.

:D YAY! This means we have time to go shoe shopping, right?

Well I do need shoes, let's be fair. And converse come in all sorts of colours! I think I like the purple ones.

You won't tell Jackie about this conversation, will you? She might try to take me shoe shopping with her.

I always welcome new friends, just so long as you aren't my mother in law! Which I don't think you are, or else I wouldn't have added you back.

Nope! No mother-in-laws here, thanks. i'm 25 years old, so i'm still a bit too young yet for being THAT or HER...even in passing. ;) But - I do know EXACTLY wat you mean. You-know-who can be a bit of a bear sometimes, can't she? But, Rose is pretty glorious, so I think the two balance out in the end, for you. Right? Thanks for adding me back at any rate, for you are made of awesomesauce and sheer brilliance as well. :) ~Sharma
