I tried to make toast as a snack when we got back, but I fell asleep and the toaster caught on fire. That's a bit of a mundane excuse for a fire, really.

I unplugged it and dumped it in the sink, because that seemed like a smart move at the time. Wall-E came in and gave me a very disapproving look.

at least you remembered to unplug it before dumping it in the sink. that could have been a very bad thing if you hadn't. Wall-E channeling Jackie is a rather scary thought, but he robots are so good at cleaning you should just leave well enough alone and go take a swim or somat.

Electrocution isn't nearly as bad for me as it would be for a human, but unplugging it still seemed like a better idea.

Swimming sounds good, but first I have to find Rose, who is quite possibly hiding under a pile of pillows somewhere so she can sleep.

Erm...Wall-E just skittered past, holding a burned toaster. Did he just give you a dirty look?

And I think Wall-E has being taking lessons from your mother. It's actually almost impressive.
