Its not a GREAT list but its a fun list. But then again we're students so it'd be hard to come up with a great list... and I did drop some crappier ones.

For the film one I think it has to be The Shawshank Redemption if you haven't already seen it? It is much better than the name makes it sound.

I'll haveto have a think about the book one, I've only read one decent one lately, but then you have got 1000 days left!
