I just can't with this chapter, man. It makes me angry and upset and hurt and poor Dylan and Preston you two were so cute together but Dylan's right -- this wouldn't have worked. And while they both really like one another now it'll only get harder to split up once they've been in a relationship for longer. Thankfully, it only lasted a day or two but their feelings for one another are definitely there and that's gonna make everything suck.

Xan, I appreciate you at least caring enough about Dylan to want to make sure he's safe but right now he really should have been left alone. You shouldn't keep trying to take care of him like this because I have a feeling you're only going to make things worse. D:

Yeah, their feelings are there, and that really is gonna make everything suck, like, a lot. It's good they split earlier rather than later, though I can't help thinking Dylan chose a pretty awful way to initiate it. Granted, he didn't really choose to break up with Preston in such an awkward manner, but still...Preston is getting the short end of the stick here. He's probably had it the worst out of any of them, what with losing his family, losing his boyfriend and finding out he's not even entirely human.

And yeah, Xan really should have left Dylan alone. The dude is honestly trying to be a decent person, but he's not that good at it and is also coming from a very different culture where "nice person" might not translate so well to Earth values.

Oh, Dylan. You're starting to remind me more and more of your evil twin Devin. The whole denial thing, and I mean, he has a valid reason to deny he's attracted to Xan, but still. Devin as plenty of valid reasons for his denial, too, but the point is when you do that for long enough it turns you all icky. So I was glad Dylan had his little outburst here, tbh. I know it hurt Preston, but having Dylan stay with him while wanting someone else would've hurt both of them more in the long run.

And Xan. You're dumb. That is all.
