Oh Preston. I'm so sorry, dude. But you're half Zimaran and I'm sure that's gonna really be something that won't sink in for a while -- but you DID get the sexy mind control abilities, even if you look totally human. That could come in handy, right? lolol

Oh, Dylan. You're too cute with your bff. I love that he thought to buy Preston coffee beans to munch on. I really do think the two of them are cute together. I just hope that they'll be able to make it through this awkwardness. They still have yet to really talk about the night before, though. We'll see what happens when they do.

That should be interesting when they talk about it, haha. We'll have to see where that goes, especially with Xan in the picture. And everybody living together (because sitcom-style plots are totally awesome, yes?).

And yes, sexy mind control abilities will come in handy, though Preston will, of course, have to first deal with the fact that he has the sexy mind control abilities. That would probably freak anybody out.

Preston and Dylan are cute together, possibly so cute that it will be hard to make Xan a viable competitor, but we'll see, lol.

Awwww, poor Preston. Poor Dylan. I really felt for both of them here, because I know what it's like to be so fucking overloaded with your own problems it's hard to help anyone else with theirs. And I know what it's like to be the person who needs that help and feels wrong asking for it from someone who's buried under their own shit. Actually, I know how that feels from, like, this week. Oops. Poor dudes.

Preston's parents really suck, don't they? Why have children just because you're "supposed to"? Ugh.

And I like how you transitioned the story from focusing mostly on Dylan's internal issues to bring the Zimaran element back in. Because as much as I love the emotional depth you're bringing into this rewrite, the Zimarans are cool and I like the idea of this story remaining an interstellar drama of sorts, too.

Yay, I'm glad I was able to bring the interstellar drama elements back in, at least a little bit. I'm like "wow, interpersonal shit is EATING EVERYTHING, oops" and wasn't sure how I could bring the "bigger" elements back into the story.

And Preston's parents continue to suck when they appear in a later chapter! Unfortunately, people having children just because they're "supposed to" do it is a thing that happens IRL and results in unhappy children and unhappy parents. :/

Poor Preston. That's a lot to take in and learn all at once. But I can't imagine it would be a terrible thing all around to be half alien? It could come with benefits once they sort out the rest of the stuff?

I sure hope so. Poor dude.
