That Despair Shield felt horrific, even by just reading about it. I think Finbar is getting more interesting as you go--what does it take to power through what he did in this part of the story?

I'll take your feelings of horror as a compliment because it means my story had an actual emotional impact. Yay emotional impacts? I'm sorry it made you feel bad, though.

I'm glad Finbar is getting more interesting for you. I know (more or less) what enabled him to power through that spell, but I won't reveal that yet. ^_^

Yeah, um... fuck a whole lot of that despair shield. I thought it had a lot of emotional impact. I definitely think you have something with this world.

Yay emotional impacts. Despair Shields suck, don't they? I'm happy this had emotional impact, though. I worry that my stories don't have emotional impact, so I'm glad this one did. This world/these characters want me to write more of them, I think. But they're being stubborn and not telling me how I'm supposed to do that.
