Ooo, you got the fancy black box ones! I've only been able to find the silver box in stores. Woe is me. They don't make your stuff better, but they're sure easier to use. I find that with Laurentians and Crayolas it's almost impossible to get the amount of layers and subtle blending that I get with Prismas.
Ugh, I used to LOVE Crayolas, but when I was doing a poster entry for a contest, I was using a very dusty purple color...and had some seafoam green pop out of *nowhere* in the middle of my picture! I hate that Crayolas sometimes get the tiny specks of another color in the one that you're using...that's why I switched to Prismas...though those don't like to sharpen for me. :P
They blend so beautifully...if you go to an art supply store that carries Prismacolors, I strongly suggest that you pick up a couple of colorless belnding pencils. My high school art teacher got me into those, and they're wonderful.
