Oh, I loved this. I really like how you let the Hatter be the wiser character in this exchange, how he was leading Alice. It was touching and sweet, very intimate without them even so much as holding hands.
Great job! :D

Liked this a lot. Somehow, even more than Tarrant taking the lead here, I like how Alice questions herself and her worth and why Tarrant sees her as a Champion.

To me that shows that she is, despite what Tarrant thinks, in many ways, not a child at all. Children don't question like she does here, imo. She's in a moment of true growth and it seems by leaps and bounds.

I do love, however, that Tarrant thanks her for "row row rowing the boat!" Too bad that one slipped by her, but I think it won't for long.

Nice!!!

Thanks! I'm of two minds about the Alice questioning herself point. I mean, in the film it could work or not work as bridging her heroic escape from Crims (yet thoughtlessly leaving Tarrant and her friends behind) and her panic moment on the morning of Frabjous Day.

I mean, she panics why? If she really believes it's all a dream, why run away? (In dreams we run away from bad stuff, but that's because, in the dream, we think it's real.) So, either the pressure gets to her or her own self doubt does. I kinda feel like this moment of questioning is taking Serious liberties with her character development in the film.

On the other hand, I think Tarrant could really feel this way: Alice is a champion simply because she showed up. And I luff him for that. (^__^)

Yeah, I wondered about the panicking, too. But again, she's frustrated that every time she tries to "wake up" she can't. So bad things happen to her and her "dream friends" that she can't escape from.

I think she's terrified because as long as she can't wake up, it IS all real.

Or...something like that! LOL I'd definitely liberties with her character, too. :)

Oh, Tarrant luff, to be sure! <3
