I'm writing one right now, from Hermione's POV. I love Hermione, though. Not just for the narrative, but because . . of her good qualities. I won't list them, I'll write the fic. Then I'll bribe you into reading it :)
Yeah, I mean, it's not that I don't like her, because I do, and I think I can relate to her most out of the main characters, but she just bugs me sometimes. She does have so many good qualities (most of which will save Harry's life) and I respect her for them.
That huge Draco/Hermione I wrote was from her POV, but I don't think I got into her head as well as you've done.
One thing that strikes me (ow!) as I read your post: what if you make it bug her, too? The fact that she can't leave anything alone, that she HAS to pick up on everything and analyze it? It might be annoying for her as well, if all she wants to do is relax or be a teenager or whatever else is going on in your plot. It could almost be a kind of OCD thing, except in her case, it's that she can't stop looking for things, rather than having to turn the light on and off 14 times before going to sleep.
That is such an awesome idea. And it works, too. I mean, even back in SS she was picking up on everything, and I know that it's probably just natural for her, but I can imagine that as she gets older and into more situations, it could annnoy her, too.
