I have a funny story about that and dogs. My parents have four miniature dachshunds, though at the time it was just two: Fritz and Coco (both males). My grandmother lived with us because she was ill, and one day, she had some friends over, about four old ladies total having this very proper luncheon.

Anyways, my grandmother's illness meant that her hands were unsteady and so she often dropped food, and so the dogs would always be where she was eating, in hopes of getting a treat.

Coco was quite the he-man and he liked to hump Fritz to show him who was boss. And they had one of those little displays during the luncheon. It was kinda funny, all those age 70+ women pretending not to notice what was going on just a few feet away.

I doubt they did. But it's petty funny watching the older tom stalk the younger one almost all the time.

Seriously! And Naki (the older tom) totally stalks Dolo (the younger one) most of the day. It's like the seme/uke relationship... only for cats! So bloody funny! XD

Their "little tryst" has been happening for two weeks now. My aunt told us last Saturday, but this Saturday we got to witness it in full force, so to speak. At least they were only humping each other outside? ^^;;;

Your dad would be rather uncomfortable in nature on the whole I guess if he knew just how common it is among most mammals and many birds with homosexual behavior :-)

My father is uncomfortable because he was educated by my grandfather, who was a good person but also against homosexual relationships (like most military men of his generation). But who cares what my father thinks, eh? I still find it brilliant to have this happening in my own aunt's yard!
