Raveonettes, Heart of Stone

I know nothing about the Raveonettes, but I heard this song on a myboytheriotgirl podcast a couple months ago and fell in love with the twangy guitar riff that runs through the whole song, as well as the airy, swoopy vocals. I get cranky about bad astronomy, so Meet Me on the Equinox bugs me with the lyric "When the sun is perched at its highest peak / In the middle of the day." The definition of midday is already "when the sun is at its peak," but I think the writers are confusing the Equinox and the Solstice. "Equinox" is a cooler sounding word, but it's when the day and night are of equal length and the sun is right around the Equator. The Winter Solstice is actually when the sun is at its highest peak, i.e. furthest from us. It's just all confusing!

I like the chorus a lot, though, and I think Death Cab are the perfect band for Twilight.
