The Hobbit again, but in 3D

Took my mum this time, she enjoyed it very much despite it being way out of her normal viewing choices. The 3D added a bit to the experience, loved it when the butterfly and birds flew out from the screen but it felt blurry when scanning along vast vistas. I kept looking at the scenery and thinking, that's just outside. :-) I fell in love again ( Read more... )

I've never seen 3D because Greg only has one eye, but I'm off to see it again on Tuesday evening in 3D with a friend. Also high-def, I hope! I wish the next instalments weren't all a year apart.

I adore Bilbo and Martin Freeman both!

I'm amazed our local cinema has 3D so 48 frames/sec would be a wish too far. :-)

Glad you've found someone else to experience 3D with. Enjoy your Bilbo and Martin Freeman viewing, I know I did. ;-) As to the next installments, whoever said patience is a virtue never had to wait for Sir Peter to produce 3 films from one book!
