So apparently the Hillels of Westchester have just given notice that they're laying off their rabbi. They want to get rid of his position so they can have more part-time workers. They want "more boots on the ground," whatever that means.

Daaang, I'm sorry to hear that! D: If you have a strong connection with a rabbi it's so important, I can't believe they'd lay him off for such a stupid reason. Hopefully if he has enough support from the community he can find a new congregation.

I know, I'm really upset that they don't even have a reason that makes sense. I think there's a petition in the works, but I don't have a lot of faith in petitions, so... yeah, I just hope he can find work somewhere else.
