I love avoidance. I think I'm still living in Egypt. Pull up a pyramid and a pony! Can I entertain you at all?

If I didn't have to prep for faking a meeting with my field exam adviser tomorrow, I'd write you fic. Instead, I'll rec you schmoopy TOS Star Trek Kirk/Spock fic, which is cute: http://corpus-invictus.dreamwidth.org/10764.html?#cutid1

It's long. It'll occupy your time. Fanfic is a great reality-avoidance mechanism.

YOUR ICON = ♥♥♥♥ I laugh so hard every time I see those icons, for serious.

Y'all, i've even read the really creepy (and not creepy in a well written way) rape-fantasies that exist on the Pit. I feel dirty. And also, needy.

Welcome to my life. :| At least we can be desperate and needy and in need of a soul-shower together. :|b What really makes it worse for me is that some of them are very well-written and I'm not sure I can afford to be picky. I mean, the show is going to destroy my soul, why not let fandom do it, too?

P.S. *hugs* Sometimes avoiding the issue for awhile really does help, especially if you have distractions to help you cope.

Sorry about your father-in-law. Mine is rapidly heading that way, but we're hoping for one last Christmas - we'll see how it goes. *hugs*

Are you any good at song lyrics? I've always wanted to do a version of Jingle Bells for Buffy ("a slayer's song tonight"), but I'm not any good with song lyrics.

hmm. i've done very little with lyrics, but i'd be happy to give it a shot in my avoidance! tell me more what you're thinking, and i'll poke at it for a while after the child goes to bed.

I don't know. The only other line I might be able to come up with is "Willow's spells." So something like:
Jingle Bells/ Willow's Spells/ lalalalala... "A slayer's song tonight!" This is why I haven't written it myself.
