I think I had one that involved the Apocalypse and taking care of a bunch of orphaned children and dogs and trying to get them into a space ship to go to one of the safe colonies after nuclear winter.

I think I need to stop reading post-apocalyptic books.

I did dream about hanging out with you and the Dark Lord in NC at one point, though.

ooh, i like that one. i think you need to read MORE post-apocalyptic books. or at least rec some more to me.

This one was Alas, Babylon, written in 1959, so for-serious nuclear winter scifi. Except more spec fic than scifi.

And yes! MUST COME SPEND TIME WITH YOU AND DARK LORD! Tim actually mentioned, "Oh yeah, we could visit that friend of yours..."

Sometimes I think our brains are just trying to screw with us.

Take the dream I had last night for example: I was a surrogate for my younger sister's child (in reality she is 19 and NOT pregnant). Only the bizarre part was that she had nearly carried the baby full term and decided she wanted someone else to take it the rest of the way. So, I volunteered and through dream magic was suddenly carrying the baby.

Part of it had to do with the fact she needed to host the Saturday Night Live episode that was taking place at my old college. Also, my gynecologist was at the mall.

I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

well, if your gyno was at the mall, you could pick out new shoes while you had your feet in the stirrups?
