it was very cute! not as cute as My Little Bride or Baby and Me, but very cute! And i liked it MUCH better once girl got an attitude and stopped putting up with his crap.
we both stayed worried the entire time that the love interest was evil.
Me, too! The entire stinking movie I kept waiting for something horrible to happen! And the ending really confused me. And the waving neko when she was drunk totally disturbed me.
I thought it was a bit fast paced (toward the end they mentioned a year had passed & I'd had no clue it'd been that long - my guess would have been a few months!) & not very well explained at times. For me the highlight was the two minutes when Tsutomu Yamazaki (the old guy from Kurosagi - Yea!!) made an appearance as the much revered ramen master.
see? im not sure if we all thought he was evil because we watch too many doramas or just because we are suspicious people, but YES, evil!
the waving neko was horrifying. but i didnt think she was drunk. the ending didnt totally confuse me..i got what was happening. but love interest showing up in her ramen shop was almost too easy.
not very well explained, which is bad, because you would think that if anyone would be able to follow unexplained things, it would be people who watch jdramas!
the revered ramen master made me laugh - and i didnt know he was the guy from Kurosagi!
He was too nice & boring - evilness would have spiced things up! lol
I thought it ended too easily. She looses out on the blessing, leaves & starts her own shop & is a success? I thought her cooking still lacked something. It would have made more sense for the boyfriend to show up & her cooking to improve after that. And he took way too long to take her advice & leave his hated job.
Marrying High School Girl is all over the map, and very little of it makes sense, so im not surprised you couldnt get through it. i DID like that she was the asskicking bully, though. it shouldnt have made me laugh as much as it did, but hey.

Marrying High School Girl - That sounded right up my alley, but I couldn't get through it.
The only thing of possible interest that I've been up to is a Kamikaze Girls picspam for picspammy's colour focus challenge.
