So I finally beat Contact the other day. As gameplay goes, it definitely crosses the tedium line when it comes to leveling your stats. Even after cooking 99 potions, I was in no mood to get the ten more stat points needed to cook level 2 dishes. The people who stat-max with this game are clearly insane. Okay, so I had most of my hopes for this game dashed by a lot of the previews I'd read, but knowing that it would be a great game anyway bought it today. The wonderful thing is that everything I'd hoped for is pretty much set up by the end of the first trial.
This is going to be so amazing.

So, reading all the reviews wynand's posted finally gave me the push to try the Immortal Defense demo, and jesus. I think I'd pay $23 for it. If I had it.

Just beat the first boss, and No More Heroes is awesome so far. A lot more accessible than killer7, so I already have two friends that want to borrow it when I'm done.
I'm betting the reason Contact isn't so up to par is because Suda only produced it instead of designing it, too ( Read more... )

I dunno how the official Orange Box version is, but the fanmade flash version of Portal is pretty awesome.

I have found a new favorite game.
And between this and Illusion Of Gaia, possibly a new favorite developer. I still need to play Soul Blazer and Actraiser, but seriously, has Quintet put out anything recently? No? What about Granstream Saga? Is it any good?
