WORD TO EVERY FRUIT. In Ireland we've bought these terribly deformed local strawberries. They're pretty okay and can be quite sweet but go bad really easily. :D Sometimes at roundabouts you can see bored-looking schoolboys sitting under umbrellas selling tables of them.

He's right. I've never forgotten my experience with an unripe persimmon. Aching disappointment with the first bite, followed by the dread of having to finish the whole fruit.

i like fuji apples the best, followed by granny smith apples. and then the rest just fall somewhere behind those two. apples are wonderful unless they're not juicy.

jambu is water apple i think?

i like mango and mangosteens and the small bananas. the hugeass del monte bananas have nothing on the small kinds you find at the market.

have you ever tried korean champagne grapes? they are the best kind of grapes ever.
