Worldcon Day 4, Sunday

Sep 07, 2010 05:20

So Sunday was awesome. I had another sudden spoon failure, but not until nearly 4pm, and panels only run until 6 and I'd seen everything I really wanted.

So would I! And, happily, so would most of the audience and the Dr Who writer who was there.

I seem to have gained extra energy from sheer joy :)

"He's a very loud guy who made lots of (admittedly amusing) jokes so his POV dominated quite a bit."

Wow...now that an endorsement! ;^)

Hi there from the "very loud guy who made lots of (admittedly amusing) jokes so his POV dominated quite a bit" guy. I hope I didn't hinder the progress of the panel for you, but I did come across your blogpost and wanted to say "Thanks for attending." I am glad to hear you got a lot of good stuff out of our panel. It was definitely one of the liveliest panels I've had the pleasure to participate in.

Thanks again for coming to our panel. I hope you enjoyed Worldcon. :^)

Heh, when I wrote this post I thought "Man, I hope Tee Morris doesn't see it..." (I seem to have underestimated the odds of having my Worldcon reports read by anyone not on my flist)

I did get a moderate amount out of the panel, and while I disagreed strongly with some of what you said, I agreed strongly with other parts(*), and I did (and do) appreciate your good humour in the face of disagreement. And as anyone who's been in a panel I've been on could tell you, I am pretty prone to loudly dominating (in a hopefully sometimes humourous way) myself!

And Worldcon was amazing.

(*)I just finished "Soulless", which you mentioned during the panel, and it is indeed both entirely disconnected with the realities of the period and a lot of fun.
