I definitely think it is. Plenty of men who aren't Evil Overlords (tm) wouldn't hesitate to kill someone to save their daughters.

this is so beautifully done. I really feel that each character would react in exactly this way in that situation. Sloane especially, doing what he needed to do, no matter how much he may or may not have cared for Sydney. But my favorite line has got to be, After a long silence, Sydney said, "I can't. Not now." Her hands cradled her swollen belly, cherishing her baby as Irina silently gave up hers. So achingly beautiful.

Sloane is perfectly written, and I love all the fic with the 5 pespectives.
In the end, it seems that Sloane is going to exploit Sydney's guilt and love... A beautiful dark piece. Thank you.
