Thank you guys SO, SO MUCH. I am so pleased that they found an awesome home... is it a safe guess that the black kitten you adopted was the super-friendly one? :D
He certainly is super-friendly. They spent the night hiding under the bed; this morning I went looking for them and when I ducked down to look under the bed he peeked out and immediately started purring. The tabby is quite willing to come out from hiding and watch him play, with this exasperated "big sister knows those things are dangerous you dolt" look on her face, but she's not quite willing to play yet herself.
Interestingly, tashewolf has a small theory that the tabby might not be the black kittens' SISTER, but their MOTHER... she is a wee bit bigger than the others, and I know that cats can have bebes so, so very young... curious to see what the vet says! :)
The tabby one was playing so adorably in the snow this weekend! She'd made a hidey-hole, and then was leaping out into the snow, arms akimbo and with this giant grin on her face. So glad they have a home!
