Harpuia had been suspicious when he saw that the keywords for this event were the same as the ones listed in the garbled flashmail. But... This one actually was sent by one of the GMs, rather than an anonymous sender. That really was the only reason why the Guardian decided that, yes, maybe he would go and check this out. There was only one last thing he had to make sure he did before starting this quest.

"Ready, Leviathan?" he asked as the two arrived in the quest dungeon.

"I've been ready," Leviathan replied, brightly. The coincidence was suspicious, sure, but so long as they did something she was happy.

In the back of her mind, the conversation she'd had over the Relic recently about the suspicious flash mail should have put out some warning signals, but curiousity had gotten the better of her, and besides, she needed to bring up her levels, right?

Right.

The ridiculous costume she could do without, really-- it was harder to move around in than what she'd become accustomed to. Buuut, it was cute, she supposed, and it wouldn't get in the way too much.

All that was left to do now was go after some monsters.

"Alright, Harpuia... Let's do this!"

This place was making fun of them with these costumes, Harpuia could just tell. Or maybe he's just bitter about the game giving him a hard time about his helmet whereas Leviathan just- Okay, no, he could roll with the costume change this time around. At least with the costume Harpuia got, he could move around without too much problem.

"Heh," and so they were off, into the dungeon and-

And this place was doing a very good job of reminding Harpuia of that blasted server, even if the similarities were unintentional. Let's see...

"We're going after the candies listed here," Harpuia through his Relic quickly before putting it back in it's holster on his belt. "These monsters should be easy enough to retire."

"Not too easy, I hope. That'd just be boring~" Leviathan replied. Well, they were certainly more entertaining to look at than the regular monster fare; she rather liked the stylized look the place had.

She glanced over to Harpuia, who... didn't look like he was enjoying this quite as much as he should be, but said nothing for now.

"What's first on the list?"

Genda was making his preparations at the start of the dungeon, checking over the message he'd recieved via the Relic. A hunting-and-gathering quest, huh?

It seemed easy enough, and with Narukami's help, he imagined that it wouldn't take them very long. Still... the things they were supposed to collect posed a small problem. Especially with his younger teammate involved.

"Maybe I'll hold onto the candy, then," the goalie murmured to himself, putting the Relic away in its back holster.

Narukami was excited. He was eager to explore all the areas this world had to offer, and this event seemed fun. Plus, there was candy! He loved candy. He tugged impatiently at Genda's arm.

"Let's go Genda~! I want the candy~" Of course, he hadn't really bothered to carefully read over the flash mail he had received, so he had no idea that the candy was not to be eaten.

Genda stood his ground solidly, like a good goalkeeper should-- he barely budged, even with Narukami pulling on him.

"You realize we're gonna have to give some of it away at the end, right?" he asked, a teasing tone in his voice.

"Ehh? But I wanted to eat them......" Narukami pouted. "But we can have some, right? Right??" He gives Genda the puppy eye look. Maybe he could convince Genda to let him have one!

He'd figured out that there was no other place he could go when he got perpetually assaulted by zombie armies besides the event field. So, with a resigned sigh and one last adjustment to the new mask he was wearing, Suzaku stepped through the Chaos Gate and into the event area. At least the game was kind enough to give him a replacement for the cape and mask in conjunction with altering his 'normal' costume. Though he could have done without the endless phoenix references.

Once he stepped into the area though, Suzaku decided against going through the dungeon straight away. He'd been worried about the new players since he'd heard about other players attacking them. Or... at the very least, if Suzaku could help some of the new players through this event then it was the least he can do.

"... Candies?"

Or maybe he was quite simply confused at the scavengers list given to him.

A few minutes later, Takeshi warped into the event area. He was mostly curious about the event, and it mentioned costumes! That was exciting. Not that he didn't like his Macabre Dancer outfit, but he wanted to keep the costume (it looked something like a mix between Macabre Dancer and Zombie Swan Prince Danseur-- it was awesome), so he was determined to do the quest.

"Whoa," he breathes, looking at the temple scene in front of him. It was pretty creepy, and it somehow reminded him of a few temples back home (cue momentary bout of homesickness-- he gets over it quickly, however, but he does miss Sumire).

Takeshi only noticed Suzaku after taking a few steps. "Oh, hi," he greeted, smiling. It would have been rude, he felt, if he didn't say anything. "Sorry I didn't see you there immediately. Your costume's pretty awesome!"

A pair of green eyes stares at Takeshi from out of the brightly colored Phoenix Mask. Suzaku had to admit; most of the events and the costumes that went with them brought back such fond memories of Ashford Academy... Now that he thought about it, the costumes everyone was wearing would probably make Millay jealous. To think someone could actually out do the former School President!

"Thank you," he nodded at the dancer. "Your costume is pretty interesting as well."

Suzaku was confident in being able to clear the dungeon without help, but... He frowned at the memory of the scared youth at the Chaos Gate. If those players just below us were going to PK any other new player then Suzaku would prefer to find a few and form a party with them. At least then he could protect-

"Are you here with a party, or are you on your own?"

"Haha, thanks," he replied. Takeshi really liked his costume, too. Probably one of the fancier he's ever worn outside a recital or performance.

"On my own, actually! I got a little excited when I saw the mail about this event and hurried here before messaging anyone," he confessed, scratching his cheek. He felt a little bad now, for not thinking to even invite Yuuta. The kid might enjoy this event too, after their adventure in the dungeon. Of course, he wasn't thinking of the PKers or getting PKed himself-- the very thought was the last thing on his mind.

A witch costume.

Really, now.

Pandora made no real comment about the game's apparent lack of tact, and whatever displeasure she felt was only conveyed through the slightest of body language. Nevertheless, they'd been given a task, and while tormenting the other players was entertaining, that last incident where they hadn't got to have their fun rather killed the mood for that.

So, questing it was.

There was no need to check her Relic, as many other players around the entrance of the dungeon were preoccupied with. She had gone over the list and memorized it well by now; it was quite simple, after all.

For the sake of the other players in the dungeon, one could only hope that she and her partner would stick to the quest and that alone, but...

With the witch is none other than the Grim Reaper himself. The skull mask covering the upper part of his face was a nice touch, but the recent incident in Lumina Cloth still had Prometheus up in arms. Just what did these people take them for? Wimps?

Unlike the ever so deadpan Pandora, her brother was looking decidedly less calm and more irritated than anything. When one got used to all the senseless killing (and a small part of him did still felt disgust at that) it was quite a shock to suddenly be told that, no. The powers that be (blast that Albert) would not let him carry on as per usual.

"Quite joking around..." he hissed before he turned to look at Pandora with a grin.

"We got the E-cans- health drinks. Ready to go, or do you think we're going to need another party member again?"

The grin is returned with Pandora's usual stare.

"Preparations are... satisfactory. We are... ready to begin at any time..."

She wasn't opposed to the idea of using another member at the moment, but since so many people were here on the field at once, going it by themselves seemed a safer choice. This way, at least, they'd have more 'options' as to how to collect the quest items... a third person would serve to do nothing, save getting in their way.

The witch holds her grimoire to her chest, closed for now, and turns her gaze to the dungeon ahead.

"...Proceed straight to the end... and engage in battle only when it is... opportune to do so..." she murmured.

The scene would look strange to any outsider; a quiet girl with a doll-like stare and her loud companion with the wild eyes. In spite of the blank look directed at him Prometheus' grin just grew wider.

The Reaper pulled out his scythe and swung it a couple of times to get a feel for it. This thing was heavier than his usual weapon...

"Sounds like a plan. Let's go," Prometheus swung the scythe onto his shoulders and started down the hall. "Doesn't this sound fun...?"
