Oh boy. Nanaya had finished his quiz ridiculously fast since he could care less about school. School was boring and a waste of his great talents at killing and pretty much being cool in general.

Speaking of being cool, Nanaya was just leaning up by the fountain. He definitely didn't ask little Miss White Len to join him but he was more than sure that she would find her way over to him at some point. He was decked up in blue, blue, and more blue so it wasn't like he was hard to find.

Aaaah, if only some other girls would wander by, the night might be worth it.

Of course Len is going to be there! After all she's secretly hoping for a very romantic night. She's dressed up in this cute dress that is much too short with some matching beach glass accessories.

She's stomping over to Nanaya with an angry face. She was expected to have been invited by him, after all! Even if she would have refused the invitation.

Nanaya stepped up at her approach and put on his cool face. He knew it wouldn't take long for dear Len to show up and be angry...as usual. Really, she should learn to hide her own feelings.

"Evening, my white Princess."

"Hah, don't address me in that way. When were you thinking of asking me here anyways?"

Of course Len has no control over said emotions, so she just blurts out exactly what she's thinking. Little does she know that she's shooting herself in the foot.

This was certainly interesting, he had to give it that. The main reason X had come was simply because he had been curious as to what the whole thing was about. The formal outfit had been in similar shades to the clothing that had been provided earlier, with various light blues mixed with greens, though it hadn't helped to lessen X's awkward feeling any.

Nor the out of place feeling he had in here. Though he did enjoy the company of humans when he could, he was not an expert on them by far, which meant that the entire thing just served to confuse the poor Reploid-turned-human even further.

So after a look around the place, X settled himself against the wall out of the way, having decided to take on a more observant stance.

There was another individual stalking through the main square and looking like he'd much rather be anywhere but there. Thank Chaos he had reached level 20 before all of this happened and could finally reclaim his jet skates and his bling. Which were what he was wearing along with the nice black and red formal clothes he had been given. Then again, being a hedgehog previously, it wasn't as if Shadow had any clothes to wear other than his gloves and shoes... How inconvenient.

Black ears twitched when he entered the crowded area. Humans and their strange customs (Maria would have liked it though).

The world's ultimate lifeform would have walked straight past the former Reploid if it weren't for the fact that he was blue. What? Had that blue hedgehog gotten himself mixed up in this mess too?

"..."

Wait, this guy was a brunette- how does this place even judge these things? He pinched the bridge of his nose before muttering just loud enough for X to hear.

"Blue. Why does it always have to be blue?"

"Hm?"

X paused, swallowing what he had taken a bite of and looking over to the voice nearby. Even as a human, his hearing hadn't suffered enough for him to miss the complaint.

"It's generally the color I wear, either on armor or clothing," he answered, looking over Shadow curiously. "I suppose this place somehow knew that and provided clothes matching it."

As far as he knew, anyway. Most of this place defied explanation. For instance, the man standing before him that was apparently human, if you ignored the ears. And yet, if he was like everyone else that seemed to actually reply or speak on their own, he was far from a normal person.

"Armor?" Shadow turned to start down the other. It was hard to tell who was what class with everyone dressed this way, but that didn't matter. Shadow was confident in his fighting skill on it's own (the knowledge that he was probably one of the few people at level 20 helped too). Red eyes narrowed slightly when he picked up on something not quite right about his present conversation partner.

"Were you involved in the military as well then?" he asked, black ears pointed towards X in order to hear him better over the music. "Or was it something else entirely?"

With the nautical decor, Leviathan of course fit right in, but her posture was stiff and her expression was one of very slight annoyance. It wasn't that she had never done something like this before; she'd had her share of public events, celebrations and whatnot. She was obligated to appear at certain times, after all.

At the same time, this was completely foreign. Leviathan never got directly involved in parties like this-- reputation was at stake, after all, and despite how tiring it could be, she enjoyed the company of the other Guardians in situations like this. Thusly, the former Reploid felt less than comfortable sitting on her own by the fountain. It didn't help that the event had required her to change into even more uncomfortable clothes-- a human procedure that she had deemed entirely annoying-- and expected to have 'fun' in a place like this. Sure, the theming was nice, but for all of the nautical nonsense scattered about, the lack of water itself was wholly unsatisfying ( ... )
