Apocalyptic Survival Challenge: Part 2

Sep 13, 2010 02:25

(Read Part 1)

Dawn. Thursday.

Police investigate dark stains in the city streets.

There has been no evidence of foul play.
(A little about the challenge:
A group of 8 sims from my Pixel_Trade Neighborhood will band together and survive the zombie apocalypse.
This is my personal corruption of an apocalyptic challenge found at MTS.

Week 1:
Several sims rent a house together. Rent is steep. Work to move in as many sims as you can to pay it off.
    Play as normal.
At 6 o'clock of the first day of the second week, or at first zombie walkby sighting, every one on the lot who is not a zombie (up to eight sims) flees together to find a safe house. (The hope is, you've moved in eight sims and developed their characters a bit. Otherwise, you get a mailman.)

Tourmaline and Zero resort to craiglist to find new roommates.

Tourmaline gets distracted easily on the net.

She responds to a couple personal postings too. And gets one response.

Women are far more intimidating in real life.

It doesn't take him long to get over it.

Zero has trouble convincing Avocet he beat up a "psycho meth-head cultist dude", even after he admitted that he probably had the advantage, as the guy didn't have any eyes. Avocet offers to pick him up from the bar next time. Zero says he has a witness he can call, he'll prove it. Avocet bets him 20 bucks and a bottle of scotch he can't.

Morning happens again. Friday.

Moonbeam thanks St. Cuthbert for a new day.

Zephira comes to vouch for Zero's story. She brings a friend. For protection, she says.

Tourmaline and Jacques put off getting out of bed.

And just like that, week 1 was over.

All eight people run together, across the bridge and into the business blocks. The buildings there are made of bricks and mortar, some even have fallout shelters.

OUR CAST
(Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack for the rest of this post.)

(Cast:

Zero by snapun (Third from left)
Zero likes free time too much to have any formal training. Having already beat the enemy once has given him some inside knowledge though.

Avocet by upendoaushi (Center, back)
Avocet's appetite may be her downfall, but the powers of grilled cheese just might save them all...

Moonbeam by sims_by_izza (Front and center)
Moonbeam spent much of her time alone, studying a very different set of skills than her housemates. It is yet to be seen how much of a help the power of St. Cuthbert will be.

Tourmaline by frankscrank (Third from the right)
Tourmaline doesn't look like much, but she's got a mean right hand hook, and runs a six minute mile. A driven, tenacious survivor.

Jacques by lemon_lime35 (Second from the left)
Jacques is a nice guy. He probably wants in your pants. But he's not going to tell you that. He's a nice guy. He had a nice friendly chat with a zombie and walked away unscathed.

"Zephira" aka Wild by oannapantso (Far right)
Zerphira doens't have as much brute force, but she's quick and clever.

Filius by tinykat (Second from the right)
Filius is a loaded gun. The question is, Luger...? Or derringer?

Tom Smith by um... me. (Far left)
Tom is a musician. He's shy, but highly charismatic. And totally unprepared to deal with zombies. He happened to be using their basketball hoop that morning.

(I swear I had no idea until I scrolled over and saw his little white shoes...)

Also featuring:

Jake by brilliantkat   up there going after some brains.
Crystral by simtopi  up there about to get her brains eaten.

Some sims have been modified a bit from their original sculpt, though never more than a four clicks away from the original. I'm very picky about facial proportions. Cheekbones, nose width and nose height are primarily the things I end up messing with.

Apologies for the walls up error in the last couple shots, the appearance of the zombie actually happened just like that, and it scared the crap out of me.

Ps. I'm in love with my cast. And not because of Tom, that wasn't supposed to happen. Good lord...

Cheers.)
