Meet Me Tonight In Dreamland

Supposedly the above is a line from a Judy Garland song. I have yet to hear the song (a simple google search will fix that :) ), but I saw the line and for the first time in a very, very, VERY long time, plot bunnies struck me...plot bunnies for original fictionI haven't written anything down yet (of course), but my ideas so far go something like ( Read more... )

Hahaha omg, it's not a lame idea, at least I hope not because I have the first thousand words of something eerily similar written. Except mine isn't a romance. Great minds, etc. XD

If it's a comfort, I didn't find you boring at all when I met you. ^__^

I guess the story idea isn't as original as I had hoped, heheh. But as you said, "great minds think alike". I'd ask to read what you wrote so far, but I worry that I'll unintentionally steal plot ideas from you. But at the same time I'm curious. Hmm...

And thank you :) I wish we could have had more time to visit when we met in person. I was a bit lost for words, though, haha.

*gives you a huge hug*

I don't think you're boring at all. I wish I knew what to say about people forgetting you, though. . .

Meh, don't worry about it. You haven't forgotten and I dearly appreciate it :)

It happens, though. There's a scene in Princess Diaries in which Mia grumbles about being sat on again because no one realized she was even around. I've had that happen to me a couple of times (almost being sat on), lulz. There's just something about me...I crave attention to the point where it almost drives me crazy, but the limelight scares me. I can't grasp that happy medium, though. *sigh*

I would read that! I am already so compelled by the idea of being in someone's dreams....so interesting! LOVE IT!

It's funny how you talk about social health....I am taking a couple classes right now (Ethics for the professions, and group dynamics) and they both discuss how inportant communication/socializing is. They go on about humans are the only living creatures who communicate with MEANING. Also goes on about HOW to communicate better....which is helpful for me. Also talks about how every living person is dependent on one another. Like how we depend on the farmer for food...or the teacher to teach, and typically these people only help for their own needs such as money, etc...anyways, if I find that this helps I will let you in on the secret of communication! LOL!

Sometimes at work people ask me how I am and those are impersonal questions really...which have no real point other than patient rapport, so I hate doing it but have to...

That's interesting! Good luck with those classes. Hopefully soon you shall be Socially Savvy! Woot!

I hate thinking this way because it's such a sad way to think, but I've found that the human race, in general, is very selfish. There are many, many people out there that aren't and I am by no means saying anyone I know is or isn't. (There's no such thing as a completely selfless person, though. I'm certainly far, far, FAR from it!) I just get quite sad when I see it happening - certain things bring it out in people. Ah well.

I'm all about meaning. Trivial conversations bug me. I feel like it happens due to obligation to be polite and nothing more. Most times, though, trivial drivel is all I've got to work with in talking with people. Oh, the Catch 22!

Maybe you should set things on fire more often. Let people TRY to forget that!

Hahaha

I guess there's the saying, "Be careful what you wish for." That's certainly quite a way not to be forgotten! lol

I've had more negative attention than I'm comfortable with right now. Currently I'm being harped on at work for mistakes I made LAST year. Ugh. But of course no one can remember all the things I did right. Funny how that always works!

This is part of why I can't handle most work environments. Miserable, small-minded people.

When I worked at Wal-Mart, I had a recurring fantasy. In it, I took my vest off, drenched it in lighter fluid, and went to one of the meetings, at which I set it on fire and threw it on the ground. Then I calmly walked over the the fire extinguisher, picked it up, walked back, and put out the fire. I dropped the fire extinguisher and walked out of the building, never to return.

I did eventually quit, and somewhat spectacularly, but not quite that spectacularly. I knew the idiots would probably press charges. THEY ARE CRAMPING MY FIRESTARTING STYLE.

There's nothing you can really do with people like that. Ignore them, get away from them, or set them on fire. :/
