The anime got kind of weird towards the end. The manga is really good and it had the better ending in my opinion. Not to mention Rosette's character was handled better.
My favorite character was Satella, :D (Voiced by one of my fav seiyuu, lol)
If you don't mind spoilers (but to save those on the flist who might, lol) -->highlight to read:
Satella and Fiore are the only two alive. Basically, Satella wakes up in the future (she was frozen and thawed out I think? It's been a while) and meets with Azmaria and Joshua's kid. Azmaria had passed away shortly before this had happened but left a video for Satella so that she would know what had happened while she was frozen.
Fiore was also frozen but dissapeared. She is seen watching Satella as Satella places roses on a grave (Rosette) and she says goodbye to her sister from afar. She dissapears with the catgirl demon.
And there are some really sweet scenes of Rosette in her final years. <---

Ah, I love HMC! :) Overall I think I like the book better (in terms of plot, anyway... the movie was a bit random) - partly because Howl's Welsh, yeah. XD
But both versions are awesome ^^
Online games are a lot of fun! Quite addictive though, and take up a lot of time :p
online games take SO MUCH TIME, omg!! I don't have much patience with most games, though. I'm the type that usually watches other people play games. That makes me a very strange Final Fantasy fangirl--I've witnessed the games played in their entirety but have never played them myself *is intimidated by the presumed complexities of rpgs*
HMC--one of my absolute favorite anime movies :) So far I'm liking the second half of the book much better than the second half of the movie. I agree with the somewhat randomness of movie, but I've found that to be a Miyazaki thing in general. There's so much to absorb with his movies; I oftentimes have to watch them twice to fully understand 'em (unless I'm just a dimwit, ha-ha!)
Congratulations to Joe on the wonderful decision to quit. Speaking of his heart, did you two ever get a chance to try the hawthorn syrup? I'm currently taking hawthorn to improve my circulation.
we haven't found the syrup, but just a few days ago we came across the freeze-dried berries at one of the health food stores here in town! So Joe is trying that. The berries are actually pretty good, but the seeds are so hard that they're deemed unedible. Of course, being less than a week since he bought them, he hasn't noticed any effects on the berries yet.
Congratulations to your husband for deciding to quit smoking!! I too am very proud of him, espeically since it's already been 3 weeks since he quit. It is said that it takes 21 days to quit a habit (that's 3 weeks :) ), and that the withdrawal symptoms should start to phase out after 3 weeks. So again, congratulations to him for making it through the most difficult part!

Have yet to read the manga, but I did hear it was better *nod-nod* But then again, that's usually the case with most manga-based anime...
