I missed both episodes of Psych that just came out, and so I'm catching up on the internets.

Let me just tell you, 2x11 is TOP NOTCH.

• Summary: When a groom dissapears on the day of the wedding, Shawn becomes determined to prove that he's not everything he's claimed to be for his new client, the last person he'd ever expect to take a case from: Gus's

I loved Mira. She's so different from all of the other women that Gus has dated, so it was a nice change of pace. :) (Plus it's so funny how similar she and Shawn are in personality.)

Shawn being wrong (in front of the CHIEF no less) was great. The show should really try to do that a little more.

...back to the good ol' days before S. Franks found slash fanfiction. LOL to that.

I actually think Shawn/Gus rates higher than what you gave it, but I'm biased because I ship them (as well as all the other pairings listed), and obviously if you don't ship something, it's hard to try and see something there. So no worries. ;)

Btw, episode 1x09 is Forget Me Not (which is not the episode with Drunk!Lassie). The episode you're thinking of is episode 1x10. :)

Oh shoot, you were totally right about 1x09 being "Forget Me Not". I ALWAYS forget 1x07-09 because I never watch those. They never really air that often, and I have my DVDs loaned out. I'll fix it in a jif.

(Plus it's so funny how similar she and Shawn are in personality.) One of my school friends made the comment that she was suprised Shawn and Mira didn't hook up. They are so similar. Maybe that's why he didn't like her all that much (although prolly not being invited to the wedding was most of it) is because opposites attract.

And on the Shawn/Gus front, I am HORRIBLE at subtext. I mean, Shassi is pretty easy, lap-dance, manhandling and all, but I have a friend who is a Master/Doctor fanatic and she can see stuff that I just do NOT catch. So kudos to you for being to "read between the lines".

Shawn and Mira huh? I actually hadn't considered that one, but it would definitely be interesting. :)

Shawn/Gus had quite a few things in this episode (from my point of view anyway). The fact that Gus likes Mira (who is similar to Shawn), could possibly imply that he's turned on by all people like that, which would explain why he still puts up with Shawn's antics and whatnot. Shawn being all whiny and grumpy about Gus spending so much time around Mira is just him being totally jealous that he's not getting any attention from Gus. And the car scene thing was basically a "repeat" of Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast, where Shawn just can't handle the thought of Gus no longer being around. (Only in this episode, he's SPAZZING about it.)

I think that if I shipped Shawn/Gus, then it would be a lot higher. As I said before, I am really, really bad at subtext. You know the "Every kiss begins with Kays" commerical? I just got today why that is a play on words. Sometimes I despair at myself. LOL
