Wow... These are amazing drabbles! The first one had me right away; the sadness of it gripping my throat. Poor paranoid Alex.

The fairground setting is brilliant!! I could smell the sickly sweet candyfloss, hear the organ music as a carousel ride goes around merrily and feel the threatening atmosphere you've created by having a hitman waiting for the best moment to kill. The way you describe the setting, it is rather 'macabre'.

I had to read the last line a couple of times before I worked out what exactly the misunderstanding was. But nice Y/A interaction!! Their eyes meeting and Yassen smiling before disappearing in the fairground crowd is wonderful imagery!
