Wow! I know that my college uses this too. I never really thought about it as plagiarism before. That is a really great point! I wonder if he will write back to you.

I think I know how my professors at my school would react to this letter, but I have learned that some professors at big Universities think a bit differently, so I have no idea how your professor will react. I say go for it though, it'll make you stand out in the class, and your professor wont forget about you, which might help you in the class in the end.

I have never heard of a professor at my school using turnitin. Woohoo for my school, I suppose.
