Well, wasn't that last entry just an outpouring of feminine empathy? I know the anthropologists say that any women living together get their periods together, but it seems as though LJ counts. *hugs to everyone

Haha I'm sorry, it amuses me that the University of Iowa has a copy and you guys don't. Considering Iowa's, um, BFE (I should know, I lived there for four years).
What's the title of the book/what do you need from the book/are you sure it's not online? Try Harvard - www.harvard.edu - they usually have EVERYTHING online.
BFE? A guy I know who's from SmallTownAmerica, Iowa, refers to it as BumFuckNowhere (not to be too crude or anything!) but the reason I know him is because he's escaped to live in France :)
Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a go. It's weird actually, the more modern books I'm reading tend to be written by Americans, which is odd considering I'm doing British colonialism in India, but that might mean Havard will indeed have them. I'll check, anyway :)
Hmm it's really weird that none of those places (especially the internet) wouldn't have that book. What's up with that? Good luck on your dissertation, though! I definitely don't envy you. *good luck hugs*
I know the anthropologists say that any women living together get their periods together It's true - my friends tested it at school. It was actually a kind of creepy experiment, in the too-much-information sense : /
(no, I'm *not* a James Blunt fan. Seriously. Play Goodbye My Lover to me and I'll rip off your head and spit down your neck. I've never known such shitty music to be so overplayed). *logves*
He has a very polarising effect on society ; ) Can you come over here and carry out your threat on my neighbour? He has Goodbye My Lover set on repeat, with the volune cranked up and the windows open.
Hun, I left this message on your msn but I was afraid you wouldn't get it for some reason or another...
ALEX ALEX ALEX ... when you get this message i want you to email me with the exact details of that damn copy of blackwood's you need, okay? like, year of publication and stuff. I checked it in my uni catalogue and we have limited range of copies but it's worth a shot, if i can get it i'll either scan it for you or post to you...
I can't promise we'll have it but I can try for you, okay?
